Sacramental Preparation



Baptism
Registered Parishioners desiring that their children under age seven receive Baptism must contact the Parish office three months in advance. Parents and Godparents are required to attend preparation classes. Baptisms are held the 4th Sunday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in the Church. Please contact the Parish office for more information, and to set up an initial interview.

Marriage
Registered parishioners desiring to receive the Sacrament of Matrimony must contact the Parish Office at least six months prior to the desired date of the wedding. Preparation classes are required. Weddings are held on Saturdays, at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please note that we do not have a reception facility. Please Contact the Parish office for more information and to set up an initial interview.

First Reconciliation
Children in second grade or above who have had at least one prior year of Religious Education and are attending the Religious Education program or Catholic school are eligible to enter preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

First Eucharist of Children
Children in the third grade or above who are attending the weekly Religious Education program and have prepared for Reconciliation may enter the preparation program for First Eucharist. There will be two separate groups receiving First Eucharist.

High School Confirmation and High School Initiation
High School Confirmation is for teens who will be 16 years old by the spring in High School. Students must have been previously involved in religious education or Life Teen. Classes are being taught by Fr. John Ehrich. Teens will also be expected to attend one of the two Life Teen Retreats offered in the Fall and the Spring. The actual date of Confirmation will be announced later. Confirmation will be celebrated by either the Archbishop, Bishop, or Vicar General.

High School Initiation is for teens who may have or may not have been Baptized and have not had previous religious instruction and need the Sacrament of Initiation; (Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist.) Classes will be combined with Confirmation Class. Classes are being taught by Fr. John Ehrich. Teens will also be expected to attend one of the two Life Teen Retreats offered in the Fall and the Spring. The Sacraments of Initiation will be celebrated at the Easter Vigil Mass.
